1.)America Offline is about our country not having inernet acces like other countries. It's not fast enough and expensive.
2.) We are impacted because we need internet for education. If we didnt have internet, it could keep us from learning. Other countries have better acces to internet, and they have more inventions/products that help them.
3.) Lack of internet acces can cause us to have a bad education. It will slow down the learning proccess. Also, we use internet to do research, so without it it'll be difficult to do work.

Selena Gomez
How can one person be a hero to so many people? Celebrities have so many people who admire and honor them, and they use that to bring awareness of people in need. Selena Gomez is a hero because she helps charities, is a positive role model, and inspires people
The first reason Selena Gomez is considered a hero is because she helps charities. According to the article Selena Gomez Wants to raise $1Million for UNICEF by Ashley Parker, “Gomez witnessed the conditions so many [people] live with everyday, ranging from unclean water to preventable diseases.”  Selena Gomez is making an effort to help children while she is dealing with her acting and singing career. Obviously she is very down to earth and doesn’t help for fame; she does it because she wants to help people who don’t have good living conditions.
For many people, Selena Gomez is a positive role model. Selena Gomez has many fans that are very young and teenagers also. According to the article Selena Gomez Fans call her ‘Role Model’ material by Kara Warner, “[S]he helps people, she does everything”. This is trying to say that she does a lot for others, besides herself. And because many kids want to be like her, they do what she does. So when she does good things for the community, little kids and teenager

Try to do the same. Also, she deals with many things in her life, but she handles it in a way that it doesn’t affect her fans in a bad way.
Finally, she is a hero because she inspires people. Her music inspires people all over the world.. Many people are inspired to be like her. Her magic moment, an article in Teen Vogue states that, “her fans […] “always come first””. That is very kind of her because she isn’t being selfish. Also, the lyrics to her songs are very inspirational, “Who says, who says you’re not perfect?” .The meaning of the song ‘Who Says?’ is basically to be yourself. Everyone in unique in their own way; don’t let anyone tell you you’re not
As a result of Selena Gomez helping charities, being a positive role model, and being an inspiration towards others; she has become a hero in the eyes of many people. Selena Gomez is very talented and she shares her talent in a positive way.

Evaluate

Investigate: For the investigation stage, I give my self a 6 because thats when I started off. And it was when the teacher was explaining how to do everything, so I understood it. I found my topic, and I was fuguiring out how I was going to start.
Planning: I give a 4 for the planning, because I dont think I spent enough time on it.
Design: I also give myself  4, because I think the planning, and design are similar.
Create: For the creating stage, I give myself a 5 because at first I was confused on what I was going to do. But then  I started creating a slideshow on photobucket, and I understood how to do it more.
Evaluate:  Overall, For my project i give my self a 5 because it shows images of the design cycle, but its too simple and not really intresting.

Create Reflection

Today I finished creating my product on photobucket. I put pictures that I found that show the design cycle, and i turned them into a slideshow. I need to test my product now and give the 6th grader my survey.

Post for today c:

Right now I am still trying to finish my project. Im using photobucket to represent the design cycle. Im just looking up pictures and using a caption to describe what's happening. Right now I'm thinking I should have used another website/program, because photobucket isn't the best for this. I'm going to continue though, and see how it turns out in the end.

The questions that I'll use to for my servey for the 6th graders will be:
- What do you think the purpose for thedesign cycle is?
- How would you use the design cycle in the real world?
-  How many stages are there in the design cycle?
- After looking at the pictures and reading the captions, do you think you could explain the design cycle to another 6th grader?
- What are other things that i could do to make my project better?

Create

For the planning stage the creator needs to plan out what theyre going to do. They need to plan out what theyre going to create, how much time they need, and how theyre going to create the product. For the design they see what its going to look like. What materials they need to make the product. So the design and plannning stage are very similar. In the picture, the lady has a folder and it looks like she's a fashion designer.

Create

Right now im looking up images for the investigation stage. I'm using photobucket to show the Design Cycle so my project is going to have images. Under the images i will put captions explain the picture. This picture is showing the investigation stage because the person is showing the person looking for a topic; searching for something.

Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
•

I am making/using a program that will help me explain the design cycle to a sixth grader.

Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
•

It has to be simple and be able to explain the design cycle. Survey at least 3 sixth graders.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
•

The presentation has to be at least 2 minutes long. It also has to be neat and clear.

13. How will you "test" your project?I will test my project by explaining it to a sixth grader. I know that its succesful if the sixth grader understands the design cycle. I can give them a survey about what was on my presentation to see how much they understood. My questions will be based on the presentation, and ill give them 5 questions. If they get them right then it'll be obvious that they understood.

Investigation Reflection c:

I'd give myself a 4 or a 5. I give mself this grade because i investigated the programs. During this stage I was confused a bit. I wasn't sure if I was doing it right, that is why i dont give myself a 6. I think that i still could have done better and shown the 6th graders a better way to explain the Design cycle.

The total score that I gave photobucket was a 10.  I was using a scale from 1-5. I gave it a 5 on simplicity because its easy to use. After you log in you upload a photo and it has all the tools to edit it. You can easily upload a photo. I also like the fact that it shows where the themes and tools are. It has a section that says themes, edit photos, organize, etc.. That makes it very simple to use.
I gave it a 5 for themes, because you can add borders, and stickers. You can also add words to the pictures. Also it has a section that say themes and it shows different backgrounds and colors that you could use for it. It lets you edit the photos and make it look black and white or different colors. That makes it very creative, and it attracts people's attention.
I gave photobucket a 0 because you can't add music but you can turn the phot into a gif. I think that the fact that you cant add music is kind of disappointing. My opinion is that adding music makes it better because its fun to here it. It's exciting and entertaining. But overall photobucket is a good program for photos.
The score I gave for clip genarator was a 9. I gave it a 3 on simplicity because its not really easy to edit on their. What you mostly do is you add/choose a song then you upload the photo/video.  I gave it a 1 on themes because it doesnt really have themes. For music i gave it a 5 because it has alot of music choices. It has recent songs and different genres, and I really like that about it.

I was looking at Photobucket as one of my choices for showing the 6th graders how the design cycle works. I think that photobucket is a good way to show them how the design cycle works because i can easily upload pictures and and add captions to it. Ill explain each step with a picture.

Day 2: Investigation Reflection

Flipbook (benettonplay.com) allows you to draw. What i think about this website is that its a good way to show animation and some people learn by seeing stuff. For others reading is easier. This is good way to show the MYP Design cycle to the 6th graders because its simple. You can draw which will probably entertain them because its hard to draw, and the pictures look funny.
Clip Generator is good for videos , and I personally like the fact that you dont have to create an account to use it. It shows new music like: Lady Gaga, Justin bieber, Britney Spears, Drake, and Eminem. I think that 6th graders will enjoy listening to them. The website allows you to add photos or you can add a video. This makes it really easy to explain the MYP design cycle to 6th graders because you can just make a video explaining it.
